First Thoughts Review 'Welcome To The Family' by Laura Oakes

My first thoughts on hearing 'Welcome To The Family' is how much it oozes country.

I love the banjo picking that along with Laura's vocal dominates this song throughout. It's a song that builds slightly towards the end and has a rockyish outro that could have gone on for another few bars as far as I was concerned.

The storyline the lyrics convey is of an introduction to her family and I think this is a real stand out song for Laura Oakes and it is available on all digital platforms.
